“End Stage Kidney Failure* that’s what the vet said when she told me about the results of Ashy’s blood tests. I could hospitalize her, take her home and let her misery increase to intolerance, or she could go to sleep now. Sheba went through option A, Ditto, option B, So I chose option C for Ashy.
Unsure, i asked the vet what if this is want she would do, and she said yes.
I called the ex wife, who came and said goodbye. Then she left and we did it
I buried Ashy under the Ceiba tree in the front yard. It’s a shady, cool dry spot. Better than anywhere in the back yard. And the lattice you see is screwed into the tree roots to keep chickens and anything else from digging there. Although she’s quite deep.
In her box, she looks like she’s taking a nap, on her bed, curled up nice and cozy with a blanket over her. She looked asleep.
I am so sad. She was the greatest cat ever. I miss her.
in other news, the van started leaking power steering fluid really badly, and is in the shop. Scooter today, rain or shine.
this morning, when I went upstairs for my exercise, I found a pigeon-like bird on my roof. She didn’t fly away and I assumed she was injured. We walked around each other while I got her some water and did my exercises. After I was done, I picked up my exercise mat and she flew away with great flurry. I guess she wasn’t injured after all. I’ve had experiences where birds try to occupy my roof and try to aggressively keep me off the roof. That doesn’t work out so well for them. I hope this girl wasn’t looking for a place to build a nest. I cleaned up the poop and took the water away.
Had a relatively painless night last night. Slept pretty good and had ok thoughts while awake. I’ve heard it said it’s darkest before the dawn, but I find it hard to believe this b******* is me getting better.
i have had a Galaxy Watch 2 ever since my original Galaxy Watch died. There was recently a software update that seems to make the watch use up battery a lot quicker. I’m not really happy about it. I used to put it to charge when I got in the shower and I would be at 100%. 10 minutes or so morning and night (from into the shower until I leave for work in the mornings). It would be in the 70 to 80 percent rang when I plugged it in. Now it’s 40 to 60 percent and I actually plugged it in to charge while I did my exercises this morning. So the watch isn’t doing it’s prime function, monitor my activity.
Galaxy Watch 2 on the charger.
And I’m not really happy about it. But I’m not losing sleep over it.
it was a good, quiet weekend, rainy Saturday, sunny Sunday and now it’s back to work!
Yesterday I took Ashy to work with me and on the way started having doubts. Where were my reminders for this appointment? I looked at my calendar and it said the appointment was Friday. Naw, I’m sure it was Wednesday.
I called the vet and it is indeed on Friday.
So I took Ashy back home. She didn’t really seem to enjoy the car ride. Too bad, back in the car tomorrow.
This morning I was on my roof, looking at the sunrise and listening to the birds and other sounds. I started thinking about what a cool job it would be to be a Mars Rover operator. Go to work early, put on the 3D goggles, and the headphones and sit there on Mars and watch the sunrise and hear the sounds. No birds, but maybe some wind.
Jupiter from Mars
I saw an article yesterday about Mars’s moon Deimos passing in front of Jupiter. See the article HERE.
Jupiter apparently would look quite large from Mars at its closest. It would be a cool thing to see.
Today Ashy the cat is going in for a checkup. Hope she’s not too miserable at work with me.
I have discovered what would be a good sound for an alarm The sound of a dog puking. I was dreaming last night about diving and talking fish. (Anglerfish can’t speak well because their mouths are so narrow and they’re quite upset about it.)
All of a sudden, I was awake, up and into action, because Daisy the dawg threw up. I got her out of the mess and cleaned it up. (She puked in her kennel, she sleeps there even though the door is open.)
That sound wakes you up good and fast, with no fuzzbrain or grogginess. Pop tall, high alert!
That’s my thought for the day, we need a dogpuke alarm sound for the alarm clock.
